Environment Safety & Health Representative role at Bechtel Corporation for the Port Arthur LNG project (PALNG). This field-based role supports construction activities with emphasis on safety, health, and environmental compliance. Job Summary

In this role, you will integrate safety and health requirements into complex project planning, design, and operations to reduce potential adverse impacts. You will perform risk assessments, provide input on bid decisions, lead meetings and communications, and track and monitor performance trends. Your recommendations will contribute to enhanced quality of safety procedures and work processes. Under general supervision, the ES&H Representative will support construction activities and implementation of the PALNG Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) Execution Plan. The role requires significant field engagement with personnel, including high-elevation work areas accessed via stairs, scaffolding, and aerial work platforms. Major Responsibilities

Provides assistance in Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) disciplines to facilitate implementation of Bechtel\'s ES&H program and ES&H Management System, including compliance with ES&H standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual commitments Assists in development, implementation, and maintenance of programs, systems, and procedures for safety, health, and environmental protection Maintains ES&H databases, including incident events, audit/assessment findings, and corrective actions Performs statistical analysis of ES&H data to identify performance trends and contributing factors Identifies and supports unique software systems and electronic tools used by ES&H personnel Leads teams in risk assessments, studies, mitigation planning, and monitoring in response to ES&H issues Prepares communications, writes reports, and documents program execution and records retention Assists with incident notifications, leads investigations, and prepares incident investigation reports Recommends and implements improvements in processes and procedures to minimize hazards Participates in and may lead employee training, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance programs Researches moderately complex issues and provides regulatory interpretation and technical advice Supports ES&H field and office personnel across ES&H disciplines Education And Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) related to occupational safety or health and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge And Skills

Provide safety technical support, coordinate safety requirements, and formulate risk reduction measures with engineering, construction, subcontractors, and other ES&H Representatives Offer coaching and mentoring to improve at-risk conditions and behaviors Engage with customers, project team members, and subcontractors to advise on ES&H requirements Identify and act on opportunities for improvement through construction supervision, ensuring corrective actions are taken Lead and participate in incident investigations and prepare incident reports within quality and timeframe expectations Attend and support daily Pre-Start and Focus4Safety Card Meetings at shift start locations Support ES&H Program activities such as Leadership Engagement Walkdowns, Near Miss Reporting, Weekly Supervisor Safety Meetings, and the Supervisor Mentoring Program Knowledge of national environmental and safety laws/regulations, industry standards, and best practices for minimizing ES&H risks Knowledge of engineering and construction systems, methods, and work processes Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check, including verification of employment and education Must be able to obtain a site security badge; the ES&H Representative is a field-based role supporting management, supervision, craft professionals and subcontractors Additional Information

Field inspections are required; duties include extensive walking on construction sites, climbing ladders/scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, uneven surfaces, and confined spaces Some lifting may be required; must be able to enter/egress the worksite and use appropriate PPE (harness, life vest, etc.) Total Rewards/Benefits
