Develop and maintain environmental compliance programs (air emissions, hazardous waste, stormwater, SPCC, recycling, and sustainability initiatives). Manage environmental reporting and recordkeeping for federal, state, and local agencies. Drive sustainability and resource-conservation projects that reduce waste, emissions, and overall environmental impact. Health & Safety
Create and implement safety management systems aligned with OSHA, ISO 45001, and industry best practices. Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and ergonomic evaluations for new and existing manufacturing processes. Lead investigations and corrective actions for incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions. Develop and deliver safety training programs (lockout/tagout, confined space, PPE, emergency response, etc.). Champion a strong “Safety-First” culture across all departments and leadership levels. Establish and execute an energy management strategy consistent with ISO 50001 principles. Monitor utility consumption and identify opportunities for energy efficiency and cost savings. Partner with Facilities and Engineering teams to design and maintain energy-efficient equipment and infrastructure. Develop EHS&E metrics and performance dashboards; report progress to senior leadership. Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, auditors, and other external stakeholders. Build scalable systems to support rapid operational growth. Integrate safety and environmental programs with Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Qualifications
Required Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Energy Management, or a related discipline. 7+ years of EHS&E experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or other energy-intensive industries. Proven expertise with OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulations. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing new EHS&E programs. Strong leadership, communication, and training abilities. Hands-on, practical approach suited to a dynamic and fast-growing environment. Preferred Master’s degree or professional certifications (CSP, CIH, CHMM, CEM, ISO 14001/45001/50001 Lead Auditor). Experience integrating EHS&E systems into Lean / Continuous Improvement cultures. Strategic yet hands-on leader. Strong analytical and root cause problem-solving skills.
