Territory Account Executive

in New Jersey, you’ll be responsible for managing and growing a defined geographic territory by selling our brands into retail and distributor accounts. You’ll work directly with purchasing managers, store owners, and distributor reps to land new business, grow shelf space, and drive reorder velocity. This role requires a savvy sales operator who can balance relationship-building, territory strategy, and field execution. About 40% of time will be in the field visiting accounts, prospecting opportunities, supporting distributor partners, and driving sell-through, with the remaining 60% spent on managing pipelines, following up, and closing deals.

Responsibilities

Own a sales territory and build strong relationships with retailers and distributors to drive sales and brand presence

Prospect and close new retail and distribution accounts to grow our footprint

Conduct in-store visits to pitch products, support sell-in, train staff, and optimize merchandising and display opportunities

Serve as the go-to partner for your accounts, providing regular check-ins, reorders, product education, and issue resolution

Strategically manage your pipeline using CRM tools (HubSpot), ensuring accurate forecasting and timely follow-ups

Partner with marketing to support retail activations, promotions, and events in your territory

Regularly report territory performance, trends, and competitor activity to the broader sales team and leadership

Represent The Pack Labs at industry events, trade shows, and distributor meetings to build relationships

What We’re Looking For

2+ years of experience in outside sales or territory/account management, ideally in cannabis, vape, alcohol, beverage, or CPG

Proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales goals

Familiar with how distributors and retail buyers operate—bonus if you’ve worked with them directly

Strong organizational skills and follow-through - you know how to keep a sales pipeline hot

Confident communicator with solid negotiation and closing skills

Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Comfortable with 40%+ travel within your territory

Compensation and Benefits

On-target earnings (OTE) between $85,000 and $125,000+ in the first year, plus uncapped commission

Base Salary of $55,000 - $65,000
