Job Summary

The ERP Specialist Account Executive will lead all sales efforts within their assigned territory for a defined OpenGov Product Suite, including territory planning, prospect identification, lead generation, sales cycle management, and ownership of sales calls, proposals, and contract negotiation through deal closure. This role works collaboratively with the ERP Team Leader and stakeholders to meet sales goals and deliver high integrity, quality, and customer service.

Responsibilities Lead the customer relationship for a defined OpenGov Product Suite, driving the overall strategy for a specific territory and coordinating the pre-sales team to grow new and existing customer accounts

Collaborate with the ERP Team Leader to close complex, multi-suite ERP opportunities with strategic accounts

Establish and manage relationships with OpenGov and senior government leaders

Generate new leads through networking, prospecting, cold calling, and marketing/PR activities

Present to customers and prospects at various organizational levels, including high-level product demonstrations

Develop thorough knowledge of OpenGov products and client verticals (local/state governments, districts, non-profits, higher education, etc.)

Address product use cases, benefits, competitive advantages, and business outcomes; facilitate executive and technical follow-up to close the sale

Target account selling (prospecting/lead generation, qualification, closing strategies, negotiations, etc.)

Build professional relationships across organizations; establish referenceable customers to promote the OpenGov brand

Collaborate with Marketing on demand-generation campaigns and leads from trade shows and events

Lead contract negotiations and participate in sales planning meetings (MEDDIC, QBRs, etc.)

Maintain in-depth knowledge of the product suite and the competitive landscape

Meet or exceed quota expectations

Qualifications Bachelor's degree required

2+ years of quota-carrying software sales experience; State and Local Government vertical experience is a bonus but not required

Strong work ethic and hunter mentality; ability to thrive in a collaborative environment

Curious and coachable; demonstrated ability to close complex, consultative deals

Ability to travel as needed (approximately 25% to 50%)

Passion for selling technology and its impact on society; ability to engage senior executives about organizational direction, transformative projects, and budgets

Self-motivated, creative, results-driven, solution-oriented, and effective in communication

CRM experience, ideally Salesforce

Compensation and Benefits

$140K – $160K On target ranges include base plus a portion of variable compensation earned based on company and individual performance. Final compensation determined by qualifications, expertise, and geographic location.
