Sr. Tax Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Tax – Mergers & Acquisitions to join our U.S. Tax Planning team in San Jose. You will be a key leader across the M&A lifecycle, driving critical tax decision-making and collaborating across functions. Responsibilities: Lead full lifecycle M&A tax execution, providing input at LOI stage and directing diligence. Partner with Corporate Development, Legal, Treasury, HR, and Finance to evaluate and execute mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic investments. Provide strategic recommendations on optimal transaction structures and manage integration of acquired companies. Oversee integration, including intangibles integration, tax compliance, and alignment with eBay’s transfer pricing and financial processes. Coordinate and challenge external advisors, ensuring high-quality advice. Prepare and review technical tax memoranda and mentor team members. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. 8-12 years of U.S. and international M&A tax experience. Demonstrated leadership and decision-making ability, including leading deal workstreams and managing cross-functional teams. Deep technical knowledge of consolidated return regulations, M&A, and section 367 implications. Strong project management skills and excellent communication and executive presentation skills. The applicable base pay range for this position is $174,400 - $232,800 in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Metro, and Seattle Metro, and $132,000 - $212,000 in other U.S. locations. eBay is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
