What You\'ll Do

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Social and Wedding Sales Manager to join our sales team at Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating social group/event business, developing strong client relationships, and driving revenue through effective sales strategies for weddings, social gatherings, and more. This role requires an individual with strong leadership abilities, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Market:

mid-size weddings/social birthday party, reunions, SMERF + wedding room blocks

Job Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution:

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets for local business. Prospect, qualify, and secure business

from various market segments: weddings, social gatherings, etc. Manage the complete sales cycle , including identifying opportunities, negotiating contracts, and finalizing group bookings. Identify new market trends

and customer needs to position the hotel competitively. Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and high satisfaction levels. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients , providing exceptional service and attention to detail. Host site visits and presentations

to potential clients to showcase the hotel\'s facilities and services. Team Collaboration & Leadership:

Collaborate closely with the Sales, Events and Marketing teams, as well as other hotel departments, to ensure seamless execution of group bookings and events. Provide leadership and mentoring

to junior sales staff, helping them develop their skills and achieve sales goals. Maintain a strong presence at industry events

and networking functions to increase visibility and brand awareness. Contract & Proposal Management:

Prepare and negotiate group contracts, proposals, and pricing, ensuring profitability while meeting the client\'s needs. Review all contractual agreements

and group requirements to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services. Performance Tracking & Reporting:

Monitor and analyze sales performance against targets and industry trends, adjusting as needed to achieve goals. Provide regular updates and reports

to the Director of Sales and Marketing and Director of Group Sales on group sales activities, progress, and financial outcomes. Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and revenue management

for group bookings.

Qualifications

A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment. Refined verbal and written communication skills A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel event sales or comparable experience preferred Must be proficient in general computer knowledge Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast paced environment
