— We are seeking a results-driven Distribution Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales through our distribution channel. This role is responsible for developing and managing relationships with distributors, OEM partners, and value-added resellers in the hydraulic manifold and manifold assembly market. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in fluid power systems and experience selling complex, engineered products to industrial markets. Candidate must be located in the Eastern or Midwest United States.

Base Salary: $80-100k (Based on experience) + Commission Plan (Paid Quarterly).

Responsibilities

Distributor Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective distribution partners.

Serve as the main point of contact for distribution accounts, ensuring timely support and resolution of issues.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue through distribution channels.

Identify growth opportunities in new markets, geographies, and industries.

Forecasting & Target Achievement:

Manage sales pipelines and forecasts in alignment with company goals.

Meet or exceed annual sales targets, margin goals, and strategic KPIs.

Technical & Product Support:

Provide distributors with product training, application assistance, and technical support.

Work closely with engineering and operations to provide custom manifold solutions when needed.

Market Intelligence & Reporting:

Gather competitive intelligence and market trends to inform pricing, positioning, and product development.

Provide regular reporting on sales performance, distributor activity, and market feedback.

Trade Shows & Travel:

Represent the company at industry trade shows, training events, and distributor meetings.

Travel up to 75% (as required) with limited international travel to meet with customers and distribution partners.

Required Skills / Abilities

Strong understanding of hydraulic circuit design and applications.

Experience with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite).

Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., NFPA, ISO, SAE).

Familiarity with value-based selling and solution selling techniques.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to collaborate with technical teams.

Education And Experience

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field (Fluid Power certification a plus).

7+ years of account/sales management experience.

5+ years of sales experience in hydraulic components or systems in the fluid power industry (manifolds, valves, pumps, etc.).

Proven experience managing accounts, sales channel, or territory with technical products.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, feel/reach with hands/arms, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and walk. The employee is occasionally required to bend and stop, push and pull, reach above shoulder level, kneel, squat, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
