About the Role
YaVe Tequila is growing fast — and we’re looking for a sales leader to run SoCal like it’s their own territory. As Region Sales Manager, you’ll own sales growth, distributor execution, and market development across the region. You’ll lead our local Market Managers, drive programs with our wholesalers, and close strategic accounts in both on- and off-premise. This role reports to the Director of Sales and works cross-functionally with marketing and operations. Key Responsibilities
Team & Leadership
Coach and manage Market Managers to hit KPIs and grow PODs, distribution, and case volume. Build a strong sales culture: set standards, lead from the front, and run clean field execution. Conduct regular field rides, performance reviews, and market visits with your team. Roll out new product launches and ensure team alignment on brand priorities and strategy. Deliver clear and concise weekly recaps and a 30/60/90-day action plan to NSM. Distributor Management
Lead wholesaler relationships across the region — from GSMs to field managers. Build smart programming that drives pull — not just push. Run monthly market plans: forecast, pricing, inventory, and placement execution. Train distributor reps on brand story and selling strategies. Ensure pricing integrity and compliance with state regulations. Accounts & Chain Strategy
Own top 50 account lists — on- and off-prem — and grow PODs and depletions. Build real relationships with key accounts. Be in-market, not in your inbox. Execute chain programming with retail and on-premise partners; track results and ROI. Activate accounts with events, tastings, and trade staff education. Use data (VIP, Nielsen/IRI, internal dashboards) to drive smarter decisions. Who You Are
Proven sales leader with 7+ years in the alcohol/bev industry — tequila or spirits a plus. Strong operator who knows how to build, coach, and scale local teams. Hands-on with distributor networks and field sales strategy. Confident communicator — in the market, in the boardroom, or in front of a team. Comfortable with data, goal-setting, and P&L ownership. Excel/PowerPoint savvy and organized with reporting, forecasting, and follow-through. Based in Southern California and able to travel ~50%. Preferred
Bachelor’s degree Experience managing chain retail programming Knowledge of California’s alcohol laws and 3-tier system
