JOB SUMMARY The Wellness Advisor for Sunnyside Huntington, NY will advise customers (recreational, medicinal and caregivers) in selecting cannabis products to meet their needs and act as an ambassador of the company’s mission to normalize, professionalize and revolutionize cannabis. You will use customer service, product knowledge and compliance with state regulations to ensure a best-in-class experience. Wellness Advisors manage the customer lifecycle from check-in to consultation, order fulfillment to checkout, with compliance to applicable state and company regulations at the forefront of all tasks.

Our dispensaries

are typically open seven days a week, with flexibility to work across opening and closing shifts, weekends and holidays. Part-time schedules are 15–25 hours per week, typically based around peak hours.

CORE JOB DUTIES

Greet customers and provide a best-in-class experience.

Build customer relationships by asking questions and listening attentively to needs.

Educate customers about different cannabis products and their effects to assist in product selection.

Apply effective selling and cross-selling techniques to build baskets.

Verify proper documentation and ID for customers.

Assist in verifying the accuracy of orders dispensed to customers in a timely fashion.

Label and package customer orders.

Perform accurate cash handling in the Point of Sale system, following SOPs.

Maintain accurate records of dispensary activities including customer records, sales, deliveries and returns in accordance with state regulations and company standards.

Perform routine inventory counts and ensure stock meets compliance regulations.

Assist in organizing sales floor merchandise and product displays.

Ensure security measures and safety compliance in the store per SOPs.

Keep the store organized and clean for customers and team members.

Escalate employee or customer issues to management.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service; retail or hospitality experience preferred.

Flexibility to work shifts that may include opening, closing, weekends and holidays.

Excellent customer service skills and ability to engage with customers.

Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and product information in a professional consultative manner.

Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance).

In accordance with local and state compensation laws, the listed compensation is the current estimated range for the position. Final offer details and future compensation depend on factors such as geographic location, market data, skills and experience. Pay Range $18.16 — $22.16 USD
