Malta, New York, United States Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) in Upstate New York offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs across three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). The college serves nearly 9,000 students and employs about 1,000 staff. HVCC’s North Campus in Malta, NY, seeks a full‑time, tenure‑track instructor for the Spring 2026 semester. Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Electrical Construction and Maintenance plus four years of hands‑on experience in electrical construction or maintenance; OR Bachelor’s Degree in Career and Technical Education plus two years of hands‑on experience in electrical construction and maintenance; OR Bachelor’s Degree in any field plus an Electrical Journeyman’s Certificate. Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in residential and commercial wiring. Knowledge of AC/DC theory, motor and industrial controls, and solar/photovoltaic systems. Duties and Responsibilities
Provide instruction in Electrical Construction and Maintenance at the North Campus. Evaluate student performance and assign grades. Participate in departmental, division‑wide, and college‑wide committees. Perform additional duties as outlined in the Faculty Contract and assigned by the Department Chair. Salary and Benefits
The position offers an annual salary of $52,500.00 and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, tuition waivers for employees and their spouses/children, generous leave policies, and eligibility for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program for qualifying borrowers.
