General Description for the z-Part-Time Adjunct Faculty Pool - Psychology role at Inside Higher Ed. College of the Sequoias Community College District serves a diverse community of learners and is a designated Hispanic Serving Institution. Sequoias Community College District provides a wide range of opportunities in transfer, general education, career, and technical programs for our students. The district accepts applications for part-time adjunct faculty pools to teach Psychology within its Social Science Department on a continuous basis. Screening committees will evaluate candidates. Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview. If the department does not have an immediate need, applications remain in the queue for consideration until a need arises, or for one year in active status. Part-Time Adjunct Faculty assignments may include weekend and/or evening classes at the Visalia Campus, the Hanford Educational Center, or the Tulare College Center. Duplicate submissions will only keep the most recent application active for one year. Temporary positions do not accrue rights to tenure. Job Duties Under the general direction of a dean or director, adjunct faculty will provide comprehensive classroom instruction to community college students. The majority of courses require the ability to teach face-to-face classes. Current course listings can be found in the Academic Catalog. Adjunct faculty will also be expected to collect and submit data on student learning objectives as needed.

Qualifications The minimum qualifications for all disciplines may be found within the "Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges".
