Position:
Reconditioning Technician Reports to:
Service Manager/Director Recon Technician Purpose:
Inspect, repair, and prepare pre-owned vehicles for front-line readiness in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform vehicle inspections to identify needed mechanical and cosmetic repairs Complete basic maintenance services such as oil changes, brakes, batteries, and fluid checks Document all work performed and communicate needed repairs with service advisors or management Assist with cosmetic reconditioning including buffing, light interior cleaning, and trim repairs Ensure all vehicles meet safety and quality standards before being moved to the front line Maintain reconditioning logs and meet daily production targets Operate and move vehicles safely around the dealership and service areas Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures Keep shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing hazardous waste disposal Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and report any accidents immediately Qualifications: 1+ years of reconditioning or dealership service experience Familiarity with multi-point inspections and light mechanical repairs Experience working with internal service departments or used vehicle operations High CSI is required ASE or manufacturing training preferred High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license with a good driving record Manual dexterity and good judgment Ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license Ideal attributes for Recon Technician at Land Rover Pasadena include: Resilience, agility, and openness to change Professional attitude and strong work ethic Ability to follow directions and processes Willingness to learn continuously Active listening and strong communication skills Respect for teammates Excellent customer service mindset Positive outlook Additional Information: Join us to advance your career with comprehensive training, competitive compensation, and excellent benefits.
