We are 30,000 employees across 50+ countries. This role reports to the North America Health, Safety and Environmental Department with daily reporting to Facility Leaders. The Regional Site HSE Manager leads corporate and regulatory health, safety and environmental initiatives at assigned locations, primarily supporting the Indianapolis Compounding Plant and secondarily the Lebanon Distribution Center and Indianapolis Technology Center. Responsibilities
Primary responsibility for the Indianapolis Compounding Plant with secondary support for the Lebanon Distribution Center and Indianapolis Technology Center. Develop, implement, train, and maintain facility policies, programs and procedures to reduce injuries, minimize company exposure and ensure compliance with corporate HSE management system and applicable regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.). Ensure ongoing environmental permit compliance and reporting for assigned facility. Drive programs involving team member engagement and behavior-based safety processes (Consequence Thinking – Zero & Beyond). Partner with Quality Manager to achieve/maintain ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications. Provide timely and accurate reporting of Corporate HSE metrics and data requests. Support HSE procedure implementation, behavioral safety processes, corporate safety mandates, and regulatory interpretation at the site level. Drive incident reporting, investigation, corrective actions, and sharing best practices. Conduct internal and external HSE audits and participate in regulatory inspections. Develop and review facility-specific HSE training needs analyses, operational reviews and new installation assessments. Collaborate with facility leadership in key HSE meetings and Kaizen/Gemba events; represent HSE in cross-regional forums for sharing best practices. Participate in other HSE initiatives as assigned by the Director of HSE or Facility Leader. Education
Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. Qualifications & Experience
3+ years of direct experience with OSHA compliance, behavior-based safety, root cause analysis, incident management, standards and procedural development, auditing, and training. Strong passion for safety and environmental excellence; knowledge of workers’ compensation regulations. Experience with environmental permit compliance (air and water) and waste management. Knowledge of ISO Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015 & 45001:2018) is a plus; manufacturing site experience is a plus. Strong organizational and planning skills; excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office; excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written). Site-based role (not remote); ability to travel between locations and for audits. DE&I & Compliance
