Helen DeVos Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time BC/BE Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to serve as Section Chief. Reporting to the system division chief of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health, the section chief will lead psychiatrists and APPs in inpatient and outpatient settings, maintain a clinical practice, and collaborate with various teams. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, preferably within a children's hospital system, but candidates with 1+ years will be considered. Team and Facilities
The multidisciplinary team includes child psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, pediatric psychologists, and behavioral medicine physicians. Services include consult-liaison, outpatient clinics, autism center, and a new 12-bed pediatric psychiatric unit opening in 2024. The hospital offers comprehensive support, including psychology, psychotherapy, and nursing services. The position supports H1B visa candidates. Academic and Teaching Opportunities
As the clinical academic partner of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital offers teaching roles and academic appointments. Qualifications
BC/BE in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry License in Michigan (MD/DO) BLS certification Experience: 1+ to 3+ years in clinical practice, leadership, or project management Details
