The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#129030) in sociology at the rank of assistant or associate professor whose research and teaching focus is health, illness, and healthcare systems. The start date for the position is August 1, 2026. Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including those with a focus on health, illness, and healthcare systems. Maintain an active research agenda with potential for external funding with a focus on health, illness, and healthcare systems. Advise and mentor students from varied social and economic backgrounds. Contribute to departmental, college, and university service. Required Education

A terminal degree in sociology is required by the appointment date. Desirable Qualifications
