Entry Level Staff Engineer , you will join our
Water Business Line
in our
Westfield, MA
office, where you’ll play a key role in delivering vital infrastructure projects across the Northeast. Our Water Team and Projects Our team of 160 dedicated water professionals has earned multiple ACEC Engineering Excellence and ASCE Project Awards. We partner with private, state, and local government clients to enhance drinking water and wastewater infrastructure, ensuring reliable and sustainable systems for communities. Responsibilities, Requirements, And Total Rewards What You’ll Be Doing Responsibilities Perform civil, water, and/or wastewater engineering design tasks, including developing drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for bidding and construction Observe construction on municipal infrastructure projects for sewer, storm drain, water, and roads Identify contractor conformance with design drawings and specifications Measure installed quantities and reviewing shop drawings Coordinate with city staff and residents and preparing daily reports What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering Passed your FE Exam or planning to by June 2026 Relevant experience through internships in surveying, engineering design, permitting, consulting, or construction observation Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) Strong written and verbal communication skills Eagerness to learn, intellectually curious, self-motivated, and excellent organizational skills Preferred Requirements Master's degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering Hands-on experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or SolidWorks Understanding of hydraulic/hydrological studies and modeling Your Financial And Wellness Benefits Compensation is based on skills and experience as reflected in the pay range below The annual salary for a Staff Engineer 1 in Water/Wastewater Engineering is set at $74,464 for a candidate graduating with a Bachelor's degree The annual salary for a Staff Engineer 1 in Water/Wastewater Engineering is set at $78,624 for a candidate graduating with a Master's degree Annual Bonus, Profit Sharing, and Employee Stock Ownership Plan Best in Class Medical Insurance Dental & Vision Insurance Wellness Rewards and Reimbursements Tuition Reimbursement and Qualified Student Loan Paydown Contributions Reimbursements for Licensure/ Certification Preparation and Fees Summer Fridays Flextime and Hybrid Work Environment Pet Insurance and Adoption Assistance More Information About Tighe & Bond We provide a structured career path with opportunities for professional development through tuition reimbursement, internal training, conference attendance, and professional memberships.
