The Mathematics, Computers, Geology & Physics Department at UC Clermont invites applicants for our Mathematics Adjunct faculty general pool of candidates from which part-time faculty will be selected for the upcoming term (as needed). UC Clermont College provides student-centered undergraduate education in an open-access, regional college environment. We foster uniqueness as well as intellectual, cultural, and social development in our community. UC Clermont College has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students and is located in Batavia, Ohio, thirty miles east of the University of Cincinnati’s downtown campus. Job Overview On a part-time limited basis, the Adjunct Faculty member’s primary academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating, and reporting knowledge to a diverse set of students. Adjunct faculty must be able to teach mathematics courses ranging from the developmental (pre-college) level through calculus. Essential Functions Teach assigned undergraduate courses. Using best practices, continually evaluate student coursework. Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of their responsibilities. Review and respond in a timely manner to all University-related and student communications. Other related duties as assigned. Required Education A Master’s Degree (or higher) in: Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or related field with 18+ graduate credits in Mathematics. Required Experience Previous teaching experience is required. Additional Qualifications Considered Knowledge of issues in Math Education and classroom technology is ideal.
