Established and rapidly growing healthcare practice in Alaska seeks a
Sleep Technologist Trainee
to join its team of dedicated healthcare professionals. Under the general supervision of the Medical Director, the sleep technologist will perform diagnostic and titration polysomnography, multiple sleep latency tests, maintenance of wakefulness tests, and home sleep apnea tests. In addition, the sleep technologist will be responsible for initiating and monitoring PAP therapy. Work hours: Variable. Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and titration polysomnography, multiple sleep latency tests, maintenance of wakefulness tests, and home sleep apnea tests under supervision Initiate and monitor PAP therapy Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, coordinate, and implement patient care Communicate effectively with the Medical Director, referring physicians, other sleep technologists and technicians, and administrative staff Ensure continuity of care to meet patients\' medical needs Travel between Anchorage and Wasilla offices may be required Qualifications
American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR or BCLS certification Excellent written and verbal communications skills; proficient computer skills Effective customer service skills; social skills; and age-specific and cultural competencies This position requires meeting certain tests and milestones within the training program guidelines.
