Mountain View Landscapes & Lawncare, Inc., a premier landscape services company with locations in Chicopee, MA, Wilbraham, MA, and Manchester, CT, is seeking a dedicated Account Manager for our Chicopee branch. As a Commercial Account Manager, you will be the dedicated point of contact for our landscaping clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded expectations. This role focuses on building trusted partnerships, proactive communication, and delivering exceptional client experience. You will manage contracts and renewals, develop new sales opportunities, and check in regularly with clients to ensure satisfaction. This position involves a combination of business acumen, horticultural knowledge, and excellent communication skills to foster long-term partnerships and drive business growth. The Account Manager must be familiar with all aspects of commercial landscape maintenance, including sales, production, and customer service, estimating, and related activities.
Responsibilities
Client Care: Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their landscaping needs, and ensure satisfaction.
Attend Sales Kick-Off Meeting to review scope of work and account turnover with the Client and Operations Manager.
Conduct CARE Calls or visits with assigned customers to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the season.
Conduct site inspections to assess landscaping requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to quality standards; report site conditions to Operations Manager.
Attend Committee Meetings as required.
Maintain and update LMN software daily with notes, points of contact, and communication history.
Hand off signed proposals and contracts with all supporting documentation to the Maintenance Administrator.
Review monthly billings with General Manager and/or Maintenance Administrator for work sold; monitor receivables and contact clients as needed.
Sales: Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and expanding services to existing clients, contributing to revenue growth. Target approximately 20% of account contract amount in enhancements.
Responsible for annual contract renewals and estimating properties as needed for renewals.
Prepare bids/proposals for enhancement work, reviewing with General Manager for accuracy and marketability.
Participate in weekly PAR Meetings with General Manager.
PAR topics include outstanding customer feedback and issues, sales review, and other areas to address.
Snow Services: Responsible for snow services management as required, including the potential to perform manual labor to clear snow when needed; ensure a smooth transition from landscape season to snow season and back.
Coordinate snow operation in conjunction with General Manager by planning workloads, training, crew coordination, and communication.
Actively participate in snow services production and assist in managing snow operations in the winter.
Other duties: Assist President, Vice President, or General Manager with other assigned duties, as requested.
Performance Measures
Meet or exceed specified performance goals for assigned projects.
Promptly and effectively turn over new sales to the Production Management Team.
Promptly communicate all problems or concerns to the General Manager.
Qualifications
2+ years’ experience in the landscape/horticulture industry or other labor-intensive industry.
A degree in a related field and other professional certifications and/or licenses are preferred.
Strong knowledge of horticulture practices preferred.
Valid Driver’s License and 3+ years clean driving history.
Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clients.
Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and CRM software; LMN software is a plus.
