We are looking for a skilled and reliable Service Electrician to join our growing team at Professional Electrical Contractors. As a Service Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical systems in commercial, to include retail, and industrial settings. You will work directly with clients to provide quality service and ensure safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
Plan layout and the installation of electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes
Install and maintain electrical systems and equipment
Troubleshoot electrical problems, including wiring issues, circuit problems, and electrical panel issues
Communicate effectively with customers regarding service details, job scope, and costs
Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
Keep accurate records of services performed, materials used, and hours worked
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Work collaboratively with other electricians and apprentices as needed
Requirements
Valid Massachusetts electrician's license (willing to get other New England states based on geographic location)
Minimum 3 years of experience as an electrician, with expertise in service work
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of electrical codes, safety protocols, and regulations
In-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems
Pipe Bending and Threading
Mechanical, refrigeration wiring and troubleshooting is a plus
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Must provide own hand tools (company vehicle and specialized tools provided)
OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification
Must be able to pass a drug screen that does not include THC
Must pass a security background check
