SpineSearch is seeking a highly motivated and skilled

Physician Assistant (PA)

to join a busy

Orthopedic practice and Walk-In Urgent Care . The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and collaboratively to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The PA will be responsible for evaluating and treating both new walk-in patients and established patients returning for follow-up visits.

Key Responsibilities

Independently assess, diagnose, and treat a broad range of orthopedic conditions and urgent care complaints.

Perform thorough physical examinations and take detailed patient histories.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, MRIs, and laboratory work.

Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including prescribing medications, bracing, injections, and referrals to therapy or surgery as needed.

Manage wound care, splinting, casting, and minor procedures.

Conduct follow-up visits for post-operative and non-operative patients.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and other providers as needed for complex cases.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Current and unrestricted PA license in New York.

Board Certification by NCCPA.

DEA license and ability to prescribe controlled substances.

A minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably in orthopedics, urgent care, or emergency medicine.

Strong clinical judgment and ability to work autonomously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
