Birth Registrar / Women’s Services / PRN / Days The Birth Registrar works in collaboration with the Director of Women’s Services, CNO, nursing staff, and the state of Texas to ensure that each birth at Baylor Medical Center at Frisco is registered appropriately. The position requires the Birth registrar to be familiar with the use of the Texas Electronic Registrar system and maintain their AOP training annually. As the main registrar for the hospital, this individual is responsible for ensuring that the facility is meeting all state requirements. This individual will be responsible for keeping all related forms and information provided to the patient up to date. This individual will help train and direct individuals who will be assisting in the birth registration process.

Qualifications

High School Graduate

Previous experience in a secretarial/receptionist role

Prior experience as a Birth Registrar

BLS certification

Texas AOP certification

Must have or obtain their Birth Registrar Certification

Computer skills with Word, Excel

Telephone etiquette

Positive interpersonal communication skills

Excellent customer service skills

Able to manage multiple priorities
