Leading architectural and engineering firm is adding anElectrical Engineerto their Milwaukee team!
Responsibilities:
Assess project requirements and determine scope, budget and staffing needs
Define Owner’s project requirements by conducting building load calculations, analyzing power distribution, sizing equipment and editing specifications
Document existing conditions and troubleshoot to resolve complex issues
Create sustainable designs through the design/integration of alternative energy sources into the electrical distribution
Review drawings and documents to ensure compliance with company QA/QC standards
Mentor/train junior staff
Requirements:
BS or MS degree in electrical engineering
8+ years of experience in the design of power systems for healthcare, commercial and/or government projects
Professional licensure or ability to obtain preferred
Experience with a consulting engineering firm or A/E firm providing electrical design
Knowledge of current technology applicable to IECC, LEED and ASHRAE requirements and all applicable codes (city, state, federal)
Knowledge of National Fire Protection Association/National Electrical Code (NFPA/NEC) Standards, other NFPA codes applicable to electrical design, and FGI Guidelines
Proficient in Revit
Understanding of electrical analysis software (i.e. SKM, Easy Power, Helioscope)
Knowledge of the current sustainable technologies applicable to the design of commercial electrical systems
Salary is commensurate with experience.
