A&P Mechanic – Aircraft Maintenance Technician Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Some on-call, evening, or weekend hours may be required) Compensation: Hourly pay: $35.00 – $50.00 (based on experience) Overtime pay for hours over 40/week, including PTO and holidays Premiums available for 2nd shift and AOG travel assignments Position Overview
As an A&P Mechanic, you\'ll perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks on various aircraft types. This includes diagnosing mechanical issues, disassembling and repairing systems, and preparing aircraft for flight and customer delivery. Key Responsibilities
Perform intermediate to heavy maintenance tasks independently Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair airframe, engine, and aircraft systems Conduct turbine engine inspections, repairs, and run-ups Complete airframe system component changes and system checkouts Install service bulletins, kits, and perform manufacturer-scheduled maintenance Remove and replace defective parts, reassemble systems, and conduct tests Interpret and apply technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints Accurately document all maintenance performed in compliance with FAA and company standards Assist with building customer invoices (labor, parts, POs) Use specialized equipment (tensiometers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) for precise repair and modification Maintain safety and quality standards in all work performed Ensure proper tools, parts, and materials are used to prevent rework or additional labor Qualifications
Required:
Valid A&P License Experience:
Minimum 5 years in aircraft maintenance (jet, turboprop, piston), preferably in an MRO environment Strong understanding of airframe and engine systems, both jet and piston Skilled in using hand and power tools for maintenance and modification Ability to interpret technical documents and follow specifications Previous experience in a customer-facing maintenance facility preferred Valid state driver’s license Flexible with schedule and able to travel as needed Must pass a background check and drug screening Capable of managing email communication and digital recordkeeping Benefits
