Its employees consistently rank Moss as one of the best places to work.**POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT**The Project Engineer, Solar Preconstruction supports the front-end development of Moss’s utility-scale solar EPC projects. This entry-level role provides vital coordination and technical support during the preconstruction phase—specifically in the preparation of proposals, management of RFPs/RFIs, document control, and project planning activities.Serving as a critical connector between Estimating, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations, this role offers early exposure to the full project lifecycle and is designed as a foundation for career growth within Moss's solar division.**ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Support the development and submission of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), RFIs, and RFQs for utility-scale solar projects* Assist in analyzing solicitation documents to identify key proposal requirements, strategy, and response structure* Prepare, format, and manage high volumes of client-facing documents, proposals, and reports* Track and manage proposal timelines, deliverables, and internal deadlines to ensure on-time submission* Monitor relevant competitive procurement opportunities, managing the bid opportunities pipeline and circulating opportunities to the appropriate stakeholders* Maintain, augment and improve library of reusable components, templates, and processes to reduce response time and improve quality on future bids* Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing insights, offering process improvements, and helping teammates where needed* Demonstrate a learning mindset by seeking feedback, gaining technical knowledge about solar construction, and building cross-functional awareness* Perform other duties as assigned**EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE*** Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field* 1+ years of experience in solar, construction, or estimating (internships included) is preferred* Strong writing, organization, and multitasking skills* Proficient in MS Office; experience with Smartsheet, Bluebeam, or estimating tools is a plus* Team-oriented, detail-focused, and eager to grow in the solar construction industry* Proven ability to work across organizations with effective communication, leadership, and project management skills* Proven attention to detail* Excellent writing, grammar, and spelling ability* Excellent presentation and written/oral communication skills* Ability to work in a deadline-conscious, results-driven environment* Exhibiting (D.I.C.E). – Determination, Insight, Curiosity, and Engagement**JOB TITLE:** PROJECT ENGINEER, SOLAR PRECONSTRUCTION**JOB LOCATION:** FORT LAUDERDALE, FL**CLASSIFICATION:** FULL TIME – EXEMPT – SALARIED**REPORTS TO:** DIRECTOR OF PRECONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENTMoss is an equal opportunity employer.
