**6 days per week and production days work 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM and non production days work first shift 5:30am to 2:30pm.

You will earn an extra $2.25 per hour for working the specified schedule.****The starting salary ranges from $25.50 to $36.40 per hour, depending on the skills and experience as assessed by the hiring manager. There is also a chance to elevate your pay by advancing to the next skill level through testing.**As a Maintenance Generalist, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally across every area of our facility and influence company performance by maintaining our equipment. Our Maintenance Generalists are vital to maintaining our Team Member’s safety through problem solving and proactive upkeep. Come be part of our Team.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Include, but are not limited to the following)*** Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team.* Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.* Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.* Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.* Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.* Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.* Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.* Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.* Must be able and willing to furnish your own tools.Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation**REQUIREMENTS:****Education and Experience: Minimum 2 years of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of and industrial maintenance training program. (Can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 2 years).****SPECIAL SKILLS:*** **Computer Skills:** Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).* **Communication Skills:** Effective communication and basic math skills required.* Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently.* Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.* Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop.* Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling.* Frequent overhead work.* Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed.* Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements.* Read and understand blueprints, manuals and work orders.**Applicants will be considered for, General Maintenance level openings.****Leveling is determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience.****Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.**Our team members make the difference.
