Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled
CFD Engineer
with deep expertise in
two-phase flow modeling
to join our
Underbody Systems team . This role focuses on developing and validating advanced CFD methodologies for lubrication, cooling, and multiphase fluid interaction phenomena in
transmissions, electric drive units, axles , and related automotive systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with
STAR-CCM+ , strong knowledge of
turbulence modeling , and a proven ability to correlate CFD results with physical testing. This position requires innovation in simulation method development, not just execution of existing workflows. Key Responsibilities Develop high-quality
CAD models and meshes
for CFD simulations. Design and implement CFD methods for
multiphysics applications
including two-phase flow, conjugate heat transfer (CHT), and turbulence. Translate system requirements into actionable
CFD method development plans . Conduct advanced CFD simulations for
automotive powertrain and e-drive applications . Plan and coordinate
physical tests
to validate CFD methodologies. Perform
correlation and refinement
of CFD results with physical test data. Automate CFD workflows using
Python and Java scripting . Communicate findings through
clear presentations and technical reports . Required Skills & Experience Minimum
3 years
of hands-on CFD modeling and method development in automotive or related industries. Minimum
3 years
of experience in
two-phase flow modeling
(e.g., oil-air interaction, cooling sprays, cavitation). Expertise in
STAR-CCM+
for simulation and method development. Strong background in
turbulence modeling
(RANS, LES, DES). Experience in
CFD-to-test correlation and validation . Proficiency in
CAD preparation and meshing . Scripting and automation using
Python and Java . Familiarity with
CAE tools
and
Teamcenter . Preferred Skills Experience with
Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) . 1D modeling
experience (1–3 years). Exposure to
cross-functional project support
in product development environments. Education Requirements Required : Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
