About the role
As a
Senior API automation QA with Playwright , you will make an impact by designing and executing robust automated testing solutions for business-critical applications across web, mobile, and API platforms. You will be a valued member of the
Quality Engineering and Assurance
team and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders including developers, product owners, and DevOps engineers.
In this role, you will:
Develop and maintain complex automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, Cucumber (BDD), TestNG, Gradle, and Jenkins
Contribute to framework creation and customization based on evolving project requirements
Perform test planning and estimation using TCP Estimation Methodology
Maintain and manage test artifacts and execution details in JIRA
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for production defects and failure analysis for mobile automation
Share daily status reports and provide Go/No-Go recommendations for production releases
Participate in Agile ceremonies including Scrum calls, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives

What you need to have to be considered
6 to 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation
Strong programming skills in Java
Hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright for web automation
Experience with Appium for mobile automation
Proficiency in API automation using REST and Java
Practical experience with Gherkin syntax and Cucumber (BDD) frameworks
Familiarity with Agile methodology and DevOps practices including CI/CD integration
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a global team
Self-motivated and proactive problem solver with a growth mindset
These will help you stand out
Experience customizing automation frameworks for enterprise-level applications
Proven ability to perform failure analysis and identify automation feasibility
Strong understanding of test estimation methodologies
Experience in managing test artifacts in JIRA
Ability to provide strategic input on release readiness and quality metrics
