General responsibilities:
Identifying and reducing sources of variation Reducing machine faults Reducing defectivity Defining and writing tool maintenance procedures Improving tool availability and throughput and availability Reducing Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) Working with and training technicians and peers Improving cost performance Specifying, sourcing and qualifying new equipment and parts Participating and/or leading cross functional teams Supporting development and transfer activities. Implementing zero defect processes Defining tool qualification procedures Defining Out of Control Action Plans Developing and writing specifications Reducing cycle time Qualifying process and equipment Supporting development or transfer activities. Implementation of Six-Sigma statistical process control methods Qualifications: BS Degree or higher in engineering or science 3+ years of industry experience as an Equipment Engineer in a semiconductor Fab Experience in equipment engineering in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment Experience in one of the following area’s Cleans, Wets, Photo or Metrology tools Preferred S trong verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated; able to take initiative and effectively prioritize work A desire to work in a team environment and to create a positive work environment Ability to generate, analyze, and interpret equipment and process performance data and produce a timely action plan to resolve recurring failures Demonstrated presentation skills. Candidate will be called upon to train others and present complex datasets and process problems/ solutions to diverse audiences Competent in troubleshooting problems and capable of applying logic to isolate and solve them Ability to deal with multiple issues and shifting priorities Ability to interact professionally and effectively with multiple disciplines in a 24x7 manufacturing facility Good foundational problem-solving skills with creative solutions and out-of-the-box thinking Self-motivated; able to take initiative and effectively prioritize work for self Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing methods is highly desirable Experience collaborating and driving supplier improvements to develop robust hardware and processes Familiar with production MES and engineering software systems such as JMP, FDC (FabGuard), et. al.
