SDET – Quality Engineer

Software Development Engineer in Test/Quality Automation Engineer Contract – Full Time 100% Remote About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) / Quality Engineer

who will play a key role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our data-driven software systems. The ideal candidate has a strong background in

automation frameworks ,

JavaScript/TypeScript , and

Playwright , combined with an ability to thrive in

high-pressure, fast-paced environments . This role blends test automation, data validation, and quality assurance to deliver robust and scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain

automated test frameworks

and

end-to-end test scripts

using

JavaScript ,

TypeScript , and

Playwright . Implement comprehensive

test strategies

for both frontend and backend components, ensuring functional and data integrity. Validate

data pipelines, ETL processes, and data transformations , ensuring accuracy and completeness across environments. Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and data engineers to integrate automated tests into

CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) . Conduct

root cause analysis

and proactively identify issues and risks early in the development cycle. Support

data quality validation

during migrations and integrations involving

SQL Server ,

Snowflake , or

Azure Data Services . Partner with Agile teams to define

acceptance criteria , ensure test coverage, and maintain traceability across user stories. Document test plans, test cases, and test results in alignment with quality and compliance standards. Required Qualifications

5+ years

of experience in software testing, automation, or quality engineering. Strong proficiency in

JavaScript

and

TypeScript , with hands-on experience using

Playwright ,

Cypress , or similar tools. Proven experience designing and implementing

automation frameworks

for UI and API testing. Solid understanding of

SQL

and experience with

data validation ,

ETL testing , or

data migration quality assurance . Familiarity with

Azure Cloud

and

Snowflake

for validating data flows and pipelines. Working knowledge of

DevOps practices , particularly

CI/CD automation

using

GitHub Actions . Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in

high-pressure, fast-paced project environments , managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Preferred Skills

Experience with

Python

or other scripting languages for test automation and data processing. Exposure to

Azure Data Factory (ADF) ,

Logic Apps , or

Data Lake (ADLS Gen2)

for test validation. Knowledge of

unit testing ,

integration testing , and

performance testing

methodologies. Familiarity with

Agile/Scrum

development environments.
