JELD-WEN is seeking a Manager, Continuous Improvement to join our growing team. THE ROLE

Under the direct supervisor or the Plant Manager, the Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager leads initiatives designed to eliminate waste and non-value added activities and improve performance in Safety, Quality, Product Delivery, Cost and Inventory. This position provides guidance and acts as a resource to the Plant Manager and CI teams on the selection and project management of Lean projects. Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Lead CI improvement teams with the Plant Manager and corporate CI teams. Ensure the Plant Manager is aware of corporate requirements and build an integrated plan that delivers results and growth in capability for sustaining CI. Lead Lean projects for improvement results that can be leveraged across plants, functions, and product lines. Ensure CI training, tools, test practices and resources are available to employees at all levels and utilized effectively. Develop and execute a communication plan to support rollout and education on continuous improvements to the plant. Lead reporting and root-cause analysis; coach focused improvement activities and teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory; conduct root-cause analysis to resolve production issues. Coach and teach the daily plant management system; improve machine performance and workflow. Study process flow charts and recommend modifications in workflow; analyze and improve work and measure performance. Coach the development and deployment of effective standard work practices across the plant; share and ensure consistency. Facilitate CI-related workshops and training events; teach concepts and coach plant personnel to see and eliminate waste. Collaborate with Plant Manager and leadership to analyze KPIs to improve plant performance. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of manufacturing process improvement techniques (LEAN, TPS, SQDCI, etc.); strong project management, organizational, analytical, and presentation skills; ability to apply critical thinking to address plant and corporate objectives; strong written and verbal communication skills; leadership with direct reports and influence with non-direct reports; ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems; excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and JELD-WEN software; maintain confidentiality; ability to work under multiple deadlines and changing priorities; ability to travel occasionally for training or to corporate offices. Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or equivalent education and experience as determined by management. Hands-on experience using modern Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methods (LEAN, TPS, SQDCI, etc.). Certified Lean Manager preferred. At least three (3) to five (5) years experience leading Lean Transformations in manufacturing operations, educating others on Lean principles and deployment planning. About JELD-WEN
