Logistics Manager

to provide Medical Warehouse Support Services for the Commander, Naval Surface Forces, U.S. Pacific Fleet (COMNAVSURFPAC) in National City, CA.

Role of the Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager will support logistics and supply services for the COMNAVSURFPAC Medical Warehouse, including specialized areas such as CBR medications, SLEP, pharmaceutical reverse distribution, vaccine programs, MSE, DLA Disposition, MMQC messages, and SERP programs.

Typical Daily Responsibilities

Handle routine communications with the Medical Warehouse, guide Navy ships on processes, and maintain visitor logs.

Review and update SOPs quarterly, submitting changes via tracked Microsoft Word documents and ensuring approvals are documented.

Perform cross-referencing of material numbers using WEBFLIS, OTS, or DAAS, and ensure proper electronic entry into SAMS and TMIP-M systems.

Store, stage, and stock Class VIII-A items, including refrigerated items, using appropriate equipment.

Prepare DD Form 1149 for transfers, package and ship stock via DOD channels, and coordinate deliveries to ships using contractor-provided vehicles.

Maintain records of shipments and transfers, ensuring copies are retained per policy.

Distribute CBR medications, track lot numbers and expiration dates, and coordinate with NMRLC CBR SLEP for testing and extensions.

Manage pharmaceutical returns and ensure proper documentation and relabeling of items.

Inspect, receive, sort, assign locations, and issue medical materials and equipment, maintaining custody and documentation.

Conduct regular inventories and prepare monthly reports on logistics activities.

Monitor medical product recalls and alerts via AMLC MMIP, and notify relevant parties of impacts.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

A High School Diploma or GED

An Active Secret Clearance

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Recent experience (within last 5 years) with CBR medical supplies, SLEP, pharmaceutical reverse distribution, SERP procedures, MILSTRIP, Navy logistics, and related systems such as SAMS, TMIP-M, WEBFLIS, OTS, and DAAS.

Experience in Navy logistics procedures, government logistics support, and implementing Navy supply instructions.

Recent (within 3 years) experience with NAVOSH Program requirements.
