Overview

The Annapurna Labs team at AWS builds AWS Neuron, the SDK used to accelerate deep learning and GenAI workloads on Inferentia and Trainium accelerators. The Acceleration Kernel Library team focuses on maximizing performance for AWS custom ML accelerators by crafting high-performance kernels for ML functions, combining deep hardware knowledge with ML expertise to push AI acceleration. The AWS Neuron SDK includes an ML compiler, runtime, and application framework that integrates with popular ML frameworks like PyTorch, enabling high-performance ML inference and training. The role sits within the Neuron Compiler organization and works across frameworks, compilers, runtime, and collectives to optimize current performance and influence future architecture designs. The team collaborates with customers to enable models and ensure optimal performance, at the intersection of machine learning, high-performance computing, and distributed architectures. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge products, architect and implement business-critical features, publish research, and mentor a team of engineers in a fast, startup-like culture focused on invention and experimentation. The team engages directly with customers on model enablement, providing optimization expertise for ML workloads on AWS accelerators. Explore the product and our history, for context and team culture: AWS Neuron guides and repositories are referenced in the job description. Key job responsibilities
