TYLin is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Aviation Engineering to lead key projects at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), one of the largest and most complex aviation hubs worldwide. This role offers the opportunity to oversee major airside, landside, and terminal infrastructure projects as part of a long-term capital improvement program, collaborating closely with Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and regional partners to shape future aviation infrastructure in Southern California. Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You’ll Do:
Lead engineering efforts at LAX, managing planning, design, and delivery of terminal, airside, and landside infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with LAWA goals and FAA standards. Serve as a trusted advisor to LAWA, airlines, and regional partners, facilitating consensus, resolving complex challenges, and supporting capital program objectives. Manage multidisciplinary project teams and subconsultants, ensuring coordination and stakeholder engagement. Oversee project delivery focusing on schedule, budget, design quality, and sustainability goals. Support TYLin’s program presence at LAX through coordination, interface management, and technical activities. Contribute to proposal efforts and participate in interviews to expand TYLin’s involvement in LAWA’s improvement plans. Monitor changes in aviation policies and funding, assisting clients with regulatory navigation. Represent TYLin at industry events such as AAAE, ACI-NA, and regional forums to maintain visibility and stay current in the aviation market. What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. 12+ years of experience in large-scale aviation projects, especially at major airports like LAX. PE license in California is required. Proven success leading complex projects in active airport environments. Familiarity with LAWA design criteria, FAA guidelines, and California transportation regulations. Strong client management, leadership, and mentoring skills. Experience working with public agencies, contractors, and terminal operators. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Additional Information
TYLin offers a base salary range of $140,000 - $200,000 annually, reflecting market and candidate skills.
