for a major transportation infrastructure project in the United States. Position Details

A major transportation infrastructure project designed to improve mobility and reduce congestion. Schedule:
Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). 100% on-site. Start Date:

We are looking for an
Alignment Technician / Civil Engineer (OpenRoads Designer Specialist)
to support the design and execution of horizontal and vertical alignments for express lanes, ramps, and interchanges. The role involves ensuring compliance with GDOT, AASHTO, and project standards, with a focus on using
Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
as the primary platform for modeling and design deliverables. Key Responsibilities
Develop and review 3D alignment and corridor models using OpenRoads Designer. Validate proposed roadway alignments in coordination with the Lead Designer, structural teams, and field survey groups. Manage the parametric design of typical sections, superelevation, grades, and vertical profiles using ORD. Process and integrate survey and geospatial data (GPS, total station, LiDAR, point clouds) into Bentley platforms. Prepare and issue design deliverables, such as plans, profiles, cross-sections, and reports, in accordance with GDOT standards. Ensure interoperability with other design platforms, like MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Provide technical support to construction teams, verifying that field layout matches approved alignments. Collaborate with QA/QC, roadway, drainage, utilities, and structures teams to resolve alignment-related issues. Requirements
Experience:
5+ years of proven experience in highway or express lanes projects, preferably in the U.S. or with DOTs. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Structural Engineering. Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer is mandatory. Strong knowledge of DOT standards and AASHTO geometric design criteria is also required. Language:
Fluent in English (technical and professional), minimum B2 level. Desirable:
Prior involvement in PPP / DBFOM projects, design-build delivery, or toll/managed lanes is a plus. Benefits
