Position Overview: We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the facility’s structure, equipment, and grounds, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Performs skilled trades work, such as carpentry or painting, in the construction, repair, or alteration of structures. Works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in the production process. Conducts inspections to determine repair needs, working from blueprints, drawings, or sketches. Responsibilities may change based on business needs. This will be a 2nd shift position: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm, Monday - Friday Responsibilities: Maintain facilities equipment to ensure it is in a ready state, including chiller systems, air handler units, cooling towers, VRF systems, refrigeration, heating, vacuum systems, control valves, boilers, heat exchangers, dehumidifiers, roof-top units, split systems, vacuum pumps, compressed air, RODI units, fire alarm systems, sprinklers, diesel generators, and elevators. Support installation, startup, and commissioning of capital projects. Communicate effectively with technical personnel, department managers, supervisors, and external support. Collaborate with employees and contractors to complete tasks efficiently. Keep work areas clean and organized. Travel between facilities as needed. Order and stock supplies, spare parts, and equipment. Maintain reliable attendance. Monitor and operate the Building Management System (BMS). Respond to after-hours security calls. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements: Willingness to learn through training and research. Intermediate troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems. Experience with plumbing systems, including installation and repair of drainpipes, fittings, and fixtures. Ability to read and understand schematics. Professional behavior and good communication skills. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, operate tools, work in confined spaces, and work after hours or on weekends as needed. The estimated hourly range for this role is $22.59 - $33.84, depending on qualifications and location.
