Civil Project Engineer - Waste & Recycling

The Project Engineer will work closely with other engineers and CAD technicians on various civil, solid waste, and environmental projects. These challenging projects offer unique design opportunities. You will be responsible for designing solid waste facilities that enable LaBella to create sustainable, cost-effective solutions tailored to our clients' needs. The projects involve civil and environmental engineering skills, including land development (grading and stormwater management); leachate collection, treatment, and management; renewable energy designs; and organic waste management. Both operational and closed solid waste facilities present different challenges, requiring innovative solutions.
Duties
Develop master plans, design drawings, stormwater management and erosion control systems, technical specifications, and cost estimates for solid-waste related site development projects.
Prepare reports and studies to secure project permits.
Create scoping, conceptual, and engineering packages.
Travel to clients’ facilities as needed to understand design issues and monitor construction progress.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification required
Intent to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) license
At least 4 years of civil engineering experience, including solid waste, land development, or related projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D
Strong team player with enthusiasm for engineering and project management, capable of leading projects from planning through construction
Excellent communication skills and ability to relate well to team members, clients, regulators, and contractors
