RN - Observation Unit - Part Time - Nightshift. 48 hrs biweekly, 6:30pm - 7:00am. On-site position in the Telemetry Observation Unit (2 South) at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, MD. Sign-on bonus: up to $15,000. Location: Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, MD 21742, USA. Pay range: $34.75 - $53.50 per hour, with actual rate determined by experience, education, skills, internal equity, and compensation practices. Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to patients in the Telemetry Observation Unit (2 South) who are stable but require observation or treatment within a 23-hour period, with most patients being cardiac and others with conditions such as asthma, syncope, rule-out TIA, abdominal pain, and nausea/vomiting. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; collaborate with providers and the care team to meet observation criteria and discharge or transfer patients as appropriate after completing necessary tests and treatments. Demonstrate expertise in intermediate-level care, including titration of drips and closer monitoring for high-acuity patients. Maintain a collaborative and positive work environment, focusing on quality and patient outcomes. Qualifications

Education: ASN required; BSN preferred. Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital setting. Licensure/Certification: Current Maryland Registered Nurse license or a compact-state license with Maryland eligibility requirements; primary-source verification and additional documentation as required by the Maryland Board of Nursing. Specialty certification is preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to apply professional nursing standards with compassion; basic computer skills; strong organization and communication abilities. Licenses & Certifications
