The Infrastructure Supply Chain (AIS-SC) organization delivers solutions to source, build and maintain our data center supply chains. AWS Supply Chain seeks a candidate to design and implement innovative solutions that deliver the best operating and lowest cost infrastructure. This individual will own the relationship with AWS’s most strategic partners—those designing and manufacturing cutting-edge generative AI solutions, compute, storage and networking hardware. As the commercial head of this relationship, you own cost, performance, contracting and strategy, and you will influence cross-functional teams including hardware engineering, supply chain, quality, lifecycle management, operations, compliance and sustainability. A successful candidate will have experience managing complex, strategic, large-scale commercial relationships with strong knowledge of supply chains, negotiations, program management, and the ability to operate at all levels of the organization, including senior executives. Key job responsibilities
Function as the single-threaded relationship manager for a strategic supply partner providing design, development, manufacturing and integration services for AWS servers and server rack integration. Matrix-manage supplier performance across cost, quality, capacity, delivery, compliance, sustainability, and overall supply strategy. Negotiate and execute complex supplier agreements, statements of work, and other contracts with cross-functional leads. Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver RFPs, evaluate vendor responses, and align on business awards. Deliver AWS’s cost objectives through detailed understanding of all cost drivers and bill of material reviews. Develop and negotiate sourcing strategies that align with business objectives while maintaining sustainable supplier relationships. Inform and influence senior leadership about business status, risk and opportunities via written narratives. Manage vendor escalations and provide executive-level updates as required. Prepare and present detailed data-driven business reviews with senior management focused on procurement/sourcing execution and continuity of supply. Identify key technology trends and drive supplier product roadmaps that align with AWS’s technical development and manufacturing initiatives. Diverse Experiences

Knowledge of basic supply agreement construction and key contracting provisions/requirements Bachelor’s or advanced degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or related field, or 6+ years related experience 6+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement of hardware, or 4+ with advanced degree 3+ years of experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, etc.) 5+ years of related supply chain experience in cloud computing, high technology or consumer electronics Preferred Qualifications
