DCEO Engineer, Data Center Engineering Operations – AWS Data Services France. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure continual access to our customers. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and we’re looking for talented people to help. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing near-infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. We foster an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. We are seeking a DCEO Engineer to support Amazon in data center mission-critical operations. The role ensures availability and reliability of electrical and mechanical infrastructure within the data center environment in a specific location, with equipment supporting mission-critical servers and uptime better than 99.999%. The position requires a self-managed person who takes initiative and provides effective solutions for complex technical problems. The successful candidate will improve resiliency, efficiency, and capacity of our facilities to deliver value to Amazon’s customers through maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting Mission Critical Facilities, including diesel generators and related fuel systems, three-phase electrical systems (switchgear, UPS, PDUs, wet cell batteries and related systems, CRAC, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers/water chemical system, air handlers, pumps, and motors). Key areas include operating and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and HVAC equipment in the Data Center/Facility, supervising contractors, planning emergency repairs, working with minimal supervision, on-call rotations, incident analysis, safety and security compliance, rack power installs and related maintenance, capacity verification for new racks, work order management, state changes in Mission Critical infrastructure, and front-line troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipment (AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, VFDs, BMS/PMS). Physical requirements include a 24x7 schedule where applicable, working at heights, physical tasks, and working in noisy environments with hearing protection. Responsibilities

Operate and maintain all mechanical, electrical and HVAC equipment within the Data Center/Facility. Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance. Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets. Operate under minimal supervision. Work on-call and on a rotating schedule as needed. Perform basic support concepts such as ticketing systems, root cause analysis, and task prioritization. Perform shift duties as required. Fully comply with all physical security procedures and policies. Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work. Perform rack power installs, rack PDU, and rack ATS replacements. Verify electrical/cooling capacity before new rack installations. Create and close Work Orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used in the asset management system. Maintain changes in state in Mission Critical infrastructure supporting corrective/preventive maintenance. Testing: assess quality, performance, safety, and reliability of products, equipment and processes. Act as a front-line responder for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting (AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems). Work on a 24x7 schedule (where applicable). Work at heights and from ladders. Perform physical tasks and coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment. Work in a noisy environment with ear protection. Key Job Responsibilities

Ensure preventive maintenance of site-critical facility infrastructure is planned and executed to the highest standards per AWS procedures. Monitor and supervise facilities (via BMS, PMS, walkthroughs, etc.). Participate in build-out and retrofit deliveries of Data Center infrastructure. Ensure organizational capability to respond to customer-impacting events on electrical or mechanical infrastructure. Review incident reports, summarize trends, and provide updates and recommended actions to management. Draft, update and maintain method statements, SOPs, emergency response procedures, preventive maintenance programs, and all technical documentation for DCEO. About the Team

Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Industrial Technology, or Electrotechnical Engineering 7+ years of experience in electrical/mechanical and refrigeration system preventive and corrective maintenance (data centers, production sites, energy facilities, etc.) Experience with critical infrastructure systems (UPS, generators, switchgear, HVAC, chilled water/cooling systems, pumps) Familiarity with a 24/7/365 mission-critical environment Good level of English (written and oral) Preferred Qualifications
