Position Purpose In an outpatient setting, the Mental Health Therapist provides mental health counseling and supports to adult clients and their families to achieve rehabilitative, resiliency and recovery goals. Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Participate as a team member in the delivery of mental health services to clients and their families and facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations. This clinician will provide counseling to a small mental health group and individual clients.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field

LCPC, LCSW, LMFT required

CADC preferred

Experience in behavioral health treatment

Able to conduct individual, group and family counseling sessions

Provide case management, treatment planning, and discharge planning for clients

Responsibilities

Demonstrated education, training or experience in the mental health services.

Adequate written skills to accurately complete required documentation within the time frames prescribed.

Skilled at conducting mental health assessments, treatment plan development and documenting progress.

Skilled in conducting individual, family, group counseling, and case management.

Excellent organizational and computer skills.

Self-Starter with ability to work independently and with a team.

Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, families, staff or community resources.

Essential Responsibilities

Work hours prescribed by and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.

Ability to motivate and problem solve with staff regarding effective clinical practices.

Ability to be self-motived, seek improved performance, problem solving while meeting the complex needs of the clients and their families.

Skills to adapt verbal and written communication to the language and style of the client and their family.

Complete all necessary documentation with in the appropriate time lines.

Oversee primary case management for designated clients.

Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions for clients and/or family members.

Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with rules and regulations.

Maintain communications with all staff (e.g. admissions, process, and discharge plans).

Ability to work with a team to coordinate services from a variety of community resources.

Utilize a variety of treatment concepts, evidence based practices and service modalities when providing care.

Present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, and staff and community groups as needed.

Be familiar with court proceedings and available to make court appearances on behalf of Rosecrance clients.

Serve as a member of the Clinical Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.

Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the professional Code of Ethics and within the framework of the law.

Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.

Serve as a role model and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing the agency.

Assume other related responsibilities as delegated by management.

Job Details Job Type : Full-time (40 hours per week)

Work Mode : On-Site

Schedule : Five 8 hour shifts or Four 10 hour shifts

Monday-Friday Flexible shift times but requires at least 2-3 evening shifts per week.

Compensation & Benefits Starting Pay (based on education, experience, and credentials)

$88,379.20

LCSW

$88,878.40

Will increase based on experience

Shift Differentials

Second shift: +$1/hr.

Third shift: +$2/hr.

Incentives:

sign on bonus

$.50/hr. with CADC certification

Financial incentive for hours exceeding identified, predetermined standard each month
