Faculty Clinical Pathologist, Hematology and Coagulation – University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) David Geffen School of Medicine and UCLA Health. Provide consultative services to physicians in hematology/coagulation for patients with bleeding or thrombotic disorders. Oversee the SPEP/IFE Laboratory. Educate physicians regarding test utilization and interpretation. Engage in quality assurance activities including those related to accreditation. Participate in the educational mission of the department by teaching residents, fellows, and medical students. Engage in creative clinical, educational, or research projects within UCLA’s collaborative research environment. Qualifications
MD/DO (or equivalent) with board certification in Clinical Pathology. Eligibility for medical licensure in California. Expertise in hematology and coagulation; ability to lead the Hematology and Coagulation Laboratory. Record of academic achievement with independent research and scholarly publications. Experience in developing coagulation profiles and providing consultations for bleeding and thrombotic disorders is preferred. Clinical and Collaboration Details
The candidate will have a collaborative administrative and academic relationship with other faculty within the division of Laboratory Medicine and will provide clinical consultations across UCLA Health, including high-complexity in-patient care at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and Santa Monica UCLA Hospital. Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is highly competitive and commensurate with experience. Salary scales follow UC policy with a salary range of $271,400 – $454,900, with eligibility for additional compensation under the health sciences compensation plan. Additional Information
