Overview
The University of Minnesota Medical School's Department of Radiology seeks one full-time ABR board certified/eligible radiologist with a primary interest in Neuroradiology. Academic rank, compensation and appointment type will be based on qualifications and experience. Candidates must have demonstrated ability in teaching and in scholarly productivity in one or more specialty areas in radiology. Qualifications
Minimum requirements: M.D. or equivalent degree, eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota, board certified or board eligible, and completion of an ACGME-accredited radiology residency training. Completion of a neuroradiology fellowship is preferred. Advanced imaging expertise (e.g., fMRI, ASL, DTI, MRP) is preferred; other neuroradiology subspecializations include Pediatrics, Interventional, Spine Therapy, Head & Neck, and Neuro-Oncology. Responsibilities
Spend significant time on a busy neuroradiology service serving both inpatients and outpatients. Participate in all facets of neuroradiology and provide post-graduate and medical school instruction and teaching in a hospital setting. Use academic time to pursue scholarly work in the candidate's area of specialty/research expertise. Be active in national organizations and foster an academic environment for medical students, residents and faculty. Contribute to care delivery pathways at a tertiary/quaternary care center, including strengths in Solid Organ and Stem Cell Transplantation, Head & Neck Cancer, Neuro-Oncology, and Pediatrics (with emphasis on rare disorders). Benefits and Compensation
Benefits include remote workstations for all faculty, with the ability to work remotely within Minnesota; evening and weekend call taken from home. Accepting 2025 fellows and J-1 waiver candidates; 2027 J-1 waivers are available, with application encouraged by July 1, 2026. Position is dually employed by M Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Base salary range is $396,000 – $476,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE; total compensation includes clinical salary aligned with clinical effort and academic effort as applicable. M Physicians provides substantial benefits, including 401K employer contributions, well-being program, CME/licensing/board certification/DEA fee allowances, malpractice insurance, and Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligibility.
