Electrical Engineer - Power Distribution and Lighting Systems
My client is a well-regarded MEP Consulting Engineering firm actively seeking an Electrical Engineer specializing in the design of power distribution and lighting systems. Main Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design power, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunications plans, including circuitry, details, one-line diagrams, and specifications. Perform system design calculations, load calculations, arc flash & fault current analysis, and lighting calculations to support electrical design. Prepare electrical construction documents such as drawings, specifications, and reports for various building types, including retail, office, multifamily residential, healthcare, and institutional sectors. Review electrical documents for conflicts with other building systems. Ensure the design aligns with the overall project vision and schedule, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams including owners, architects, contractors, and other engineers. Assist in selecting and specifying appropriate equipment for building systems. Prepare reports and specifications. Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects. Participate in client meetings to establish needs and discuss design issues.
