QA + QC Manager - Mechanical Construction
Role Purpose:
As a QA + QC Manager, you will manage and implement quality assurance programs on-site, ensuring compliance with all requirements before project handover. This role is based at a job site in New Carlisle, Indiana. Documentation and Reporting: Review and assist in creating project QC documents and forms. Update SOPs and quality assurance manuals. Identify, document, track, and ensure repair/replacement of non-conforming work. Assist in producing reports on nonconformance, daily quality, root causes, and trends. Review documentation for regulatory submissions and inspections. Communicate quality control info across departments, vendors, and contractors. Instruct staff on quality procedures. Develop specifications to ensure quality control. Guide vendors and contractors on quality guidelines and testing. Conduct customer site visits. Quality Controls Procedures and Testing: Create and implement inspection/testing criteria. Coordinate with departments to meet client requirements. Oversee testing/inspection agencies to ensure proper procedures. Participate in inspections and follow-ups. Identify and mitigate design-related issues. Analyze test results and provide feedback. Monitor quality control system performance. Implement quality control equipment. Quality Assurance: Maintain weld mapping/tracking. Document leak testing. Obtain client sign-offs. Verify material compliance. Complete job turnover packages. Ensure ASME code compliance. Quality Control: Inspect welds and construction activities. Witness pressure tests. Perform punch lists before client turnover. Collaborate with foremen to address issues. Coordinate NDE services. Review inspection reports. Test welders for qualification. Inspect bolt-up joints and verify torquing. Candidate Profile: Minimum 5 years in quality control or assurance. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Deep understanding of quality procedures and standards.
