Blue Signal
Overview
A rapidly scaling technology innovator is building the next generation of intelligent robotics—and they are hiring a highly skilled Autonomous Robotics AI Engineer to join the mission. This role presents the chance to help shape advanced robotics systems capable of operating autonomously in real-world, dynamic environments. The ideal candidate brings a passion for robotics, a knack for machine learning, and a drive to solve complex perception and control challenges. Location: Vancouver, CA (Hybrid or On-site). Responsibilities
Design and implement AI-driven perception models, including object detection, SLAM, and sensor fusion systems. Develop predictive motion algorithms and dynamic obstacle tracking for autonomous path planning. Build and optimize decision-making frameworks to power real-time robotic autonomy and control. Integrate ML and AI models with robotic platforms using middleware such as ROS/ROS2. Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to deploy scalable solutions in real-world environments. Test and validate system performance through offline simulations and real-time on-platform evaluations. Tune model efficiency for edge computing environments using platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson. Qualifications
Candidate Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in robotics or machine learning applications, whether academic or commercial. Strong Python skills and fluency in ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn. Proficient with robotic systems tools including ROS/ROS2, Gazebo, and real-time embedded environments. Solid grounding in algorithms for perception, planning, control, and multi-sensor data processing. Preferred Qualifications: Practical experience with autonomous ground robots or robotic arms. Background in C++, edge computing, or embedded system integration. Expertise in SLAM, sensor calibration, or multi-agent robotic coordination. Previous contributions to production-level robotics projects or peer-reviewed research. What’s in it for You
Work on some of the most advanced robotics systems in development today. Competitive compensation and performance-based incentives. Flexible hybrid schedule at a BC-based robotics development center. Dedicated professional development budget and visibility into international robotics R&D. Be a key contributor in redefining autonomy and intelligence in robotics. Apply now to explore the opportunity.
