R548679Work Flexibility: Hybrid or OnsiteStryker Instruments is seeking a Staff Electrical Design Engineer to support New Product Development within our IVS Portfolio. In this role, you’ll take the lead in transforming an existing prototype into a production-ready design. You’ll refine PCBAs, wire harnesses, and electrical components with a focus on manufacturability, EMC compliance, and design verification. Partnering closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll play a hands-on role in lab testing, system integration, and driving the design through to a high-quality, compliant manufacturing release.This role is hybrid with the expectation to be in the office 3 days a week in Portage, MI.Check out our product portfolio here:## What you will do:I condensed these down to 8 from what was in Workday, we will review/discuss.* Design and develop electrical components and sub-systems for cutting-edge medical devices.* Create and execute verification protocols, PCBA production test specs, and EMC/Wireless test plans.* Develop and apply advanced circuit/system test methods, prototypes, and benchtop evaluations.* Translate user needs into design inputs, balancing tradeoffs to deliver robust, compliant solutions.* Generate and refine technical documentation, including schematics, design descriptions, and stack-ups.* Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical engineers, safety engineers, and other design teams for seamless system integration.* Partner with manufacturers to define and implement scalable production test specifications.* Lead advanced problem-solving to identify, evaluate, and resolve complex design issues.## What you need:Minimum Qualifications (Required):* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline* 4+ years of electrical engineering experiencePreferred Qualifications:* Medical device industry experience* Design for EMC, Design for test* Active and passive filter design* DC-DC regulator design* I2C, SPI, UART, USB designTravel Percentage: 10%Stryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
