an Integrated Product Support (IPS) Engineer

to work with our talented

Advanced Weapons

team located in

Northridge, CA . Role and location

As an integral part of our multi-discipline engineering team in Advanced Weapons, you will be on the forefront of developing next generation solutions to protect technology for our nation’s warfighter. The ideal candidate will be supporting a secured missile weapon system. This position will require close collaboration with team members of other projects within the organization for security architecture designs as well as external partners and customers. This position requires on-site work in Northridge, CA on a 9/80 schedule. Telework is not available for this position. Relocation assistance, although not guaranteed, may be available. This position is contingent upon available funding/program award. Responsibilities

Perform product support engineering activities and assist as a technical resource from a program’s concept and proposal phases through development, test, production, and post-production support phases

Serve as the Product Support/Sustainability point of contact (POC) for assigned programs and integrate into program and engineering teams

Support logistics design influence efforts and activities necessary to meet system performance requirements

Analyze and interpret technical data (e.g., drawings, manuals, specifications, etc.) to develop technical and logistics data

Create/update relevant reports such as task analysis, maintenance plans, or provisioning requirements reports

Perform/develop/update Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)

Develop maintenance concepts to ensure the most affordable and effective mission readiness solution

Develop/execute plans for Technical Publications/training materials

Plan/execute activities that sustain the operation and maintenance of systems to ensure mission readiness

Conduct logistics analyses using engineering background, analytical skills and knowledge of a wide array of industry tools

Perform Human Factors analysis on maintenance and operation activities and end items

Develop/update Packaging, Handling, Shipping & Transportation (PHS&T) and Demilitarization plans

Basic Qualifications for an Integrated Product Support Engineer

Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 8 years of engineering experience or 6 years with Masters, 13 years of relevant experience will be considered in-lieu of a degree

Experience in Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), Reliability, Maintainability or other logistics related discipline

Experience in developing/generating various types of logistics supportability analysis

Experience in developing and delivering Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)

Knowledge of analyzing data/trend analysis or databases for tracking logistics and inventory

Familiar with military maintenance and sustainment support

Experience in leading and monitoring assigned tasks

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills and ability to interface directly with internal program office and external customers

Have held a DoD Security Clearance

US Citizenship required for this position

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university

Experience in military maintenance and sustainment support

Engineering design background generating new designs, models, and drawings

Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives that drive change in an organization

Experience supporting procurement activities to meet demanding build schedules

Experience developing LSA products in accordance with MIL-STD-1388, GEIA-STD-0007 or MIL-PRF-49506 in LSA database tools such as EAGLE or SLICwave

Familiarity with other logistics tools such as Vmetric, EDCAS, COMPASS, CASA, etc.

Understanding of repair level analysis and life cycle cost modeling

Previous experience using LSA data to develop either technical data, technical publications, Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETMs), or training products

Possess active DoD Security Clearance (investigation completed within last 5 years)

Primary Level Salary Range:

$137,400.00 - $206,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
