Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities, limitations, and functional needs to accurately diagnose impairments and develop individualized treatment plans. Therapeutic Interventions:
Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and gait training to improve patients' mobility, strength, balance, and pain management. Functional Training:
Assist patients in developing compensatory strategies, adaptive techniques, and assistive device training to enhance their independence in activities of daily living. Patient Education:
Educate patients and their families on proper body mechanics, home exercise programs, and injury prevention strategies to promote long-term health and well-being. Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Documentation:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Compliance:
Adhere to all relevant regulatory standards and guidelines, including HIPAA and Medicare regulations. Requirements: Licensure:
Current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida. Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a home health or a related setting. Skills:
Strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a patient-centered approach to care. Professionalism:
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to providing high-quality care. Transportation:
