Insight Hospital and Medical Center - Chicago is seeking qualified pharmacists to assist with inpatient services. As pharmacists, candidates will be responsible for supervision of technical staff, entry and verification of drug orders, review of final products before dispensing to patients, providing consultation on drug maters as appropriate, patient counseling, all activities that a pharmacy technician is expected to perform and other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Director of Pharmacy. These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, following the mission, values, and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and guests.

Qualifications: Graduated from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy Registered pharmacist in good standing under the laws of the State of Illinois.

Job Responsibilities:

Entry and/or verification of drug orders into computer Supervising technical staffChecking the final product prior to dispensing to patients Accepting telephone orders from physicians Providing consultation on drug matters to physicians, nurses and other health care personnel as appropriate Providing clinical services based on approved protocols Supervision and final inspection of packaging or manufacturing processes Patient training and counseling All activities that a technician may perform Other duties as directed by the Director of Pharmacy Health, vision & dental benefits - eligible at 30 days, following the 1st of the following month Short and long-term disability and basic life insurance - after 30 days of employment Insight Employees are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 as a condition of employment, subject to accommodation for medical or sincerely held religious beliefs.
